Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments for Integro Technologies in Salisbury, North Carolina
Griffith Enterprises, Inc. was retained to complete Phase I and Phase II Environmental Assessments for a new Integro Technologies office building in downtown Salisbury, North Carolina.
The results of the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment identified a former dry cleaners and a former service station as potential off site Recognized Environmental Concerns (RECs) for the proposed project.
After completion of the Phase II ESA, which resulted in the discovery of hydrocarbon and chlorinated constituents in the ground water beneath the site, Griffith provided pertinent information to the NCDENR Mooresville Regional Office to aid the agency in determine that the environmental impact was originating from potential off site sources. Based on this determination and the actual concentrations of the compounds detected, NCDENR did not require any additional environmental action for the site, thus clearing the way for construction of the building.
